Aloo Samosa – Famous Indian Samosa Recipe | How to make tasty Aloo Samosa at home|आलू समोसा
Aloo Samosa is one of the most popular tasty vegetarian recipe in Indian subcontinents. This is one of the most popular snacks these days, not only in India but all across the world.
Ingredients:
Samosa Stuffing
Boiled Potato 4 medium size.
Green Peas ½ cup.
Coriander Leaves ½ cup (Finely Chopped)
Ginger 1/2 tsp(grated)
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp.
Green Chilli 2-3 pieces (Finely Chopped)
Salt to taste.
Red Chilli Powder ½ tsp.
10.Coriander Powder ½ tsp.
11.Chaat Masala 1 tsp.
12.Kashoori Methi 1 tbs.
13.Roasted Cumin Powder ½ tsp.
14.Cooking Oil For frying the Samosa.
15.Dry Fruits (Cashew Nut, Resins & Peanuts)
Samosa Patti
All Purpose Flour 200gms
Carom Seeds ½ tsp.
Ghee 2tbs.
Salt per taste
Water for making dough.
Step by Step preparation of Aloo Samosa
Step1: Making dough for samosa sheets
Take all purpose Flour in a large bowl add little salt , ajwain and ghee mix them well.
now add water in small batches and make a smooth but little stiff dough . Cover and keep it aside for 20-30 min to set.
Step 2: Making filling or stuffing for Samosa
Heat a pan and add 1and1/2 tbs oil.
once oil becomes hot add chopped ginger and green chili and cook for 30-40 sec.
Now Add chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder cook for 20-30 sec on low flame.
Add green peas and cook with spices for 2 min on low flame.
Making samosa sheets:
Knead the ready dough for 1-2 min again.
Make small balls out of the dough and keep it aside ( keep all the dough balls covered so that it will not get dry).
Now roll all the balls in oval shape and cut them from middle (as shown in pitchers or video ).
sheets are ready for shaping the Samosa.
Giving shapes to Samosa
Take one sheet and rub some water on the straight edge of the sheet.
Now fold the sheet into half and rub some water on the folded edge ( as shown in pictures or video) and put another side of the sheet on it press softly to make them stick together.
It will become like an triangle envelope. Open it put the potato stuffing into it.
now rub some water on the open edges and press softly to close it.(for more detail plz follow the video)samosa is ready for frying.
Frying the Samosa:
1.Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
2.once the oil becomes hot enough for frying turn the flame into medium to low heat.
3.Fry all Samosa on medium to low flame For 10-12 min or till it will become golden brown in color.(For getting crispy Samosa always use medium to low flame)
4.Samosa is ready to serve. For great taste always serve hot with sauce or green chatni.
Important Tips: To make the tasty and crispy Samosa, make sure the dough is made correct with less water and also need to fry the samosa on low medium flam.
